ACN and Haunted Houses

We've just cleaned the house in anticipation of ACN reps coming over. ACN is this telecommunications company that Hannah is gaga over, thinking that it'll make us rich. I have my doubts, but I'm willing to take a look. We went to one of their recruiting meetings last week that was half sales pitch, half religious revival. I'm satisfied that its not a scam, because some big-name companies have partnered with ACN, Donald Trump even endorses ACN. I'm not one of The Donald's biggest fans, but I recognize that he is a phenominally sucessful businessman who wouldn't put his name on just anything. Hannah is just so excited about the whole thing and we'll just see what happens.

On the lighter side, we went with my sister Michelle and some of her friends to Nightmare on 13th. It's a haunted house in Salt Lake that has an undeserved reputation for extreme scariness. By nearly unanimous vote, I had to take point. So I was in front of Hannah and Michelle and 8 other shrieking teenagers. Imagine an 11 person conga line, with each person hiding her face in the person ahead's back and pushing the unfortunate individual (me) along at speeds directly proportional to their fear level.

Impromptu Saturday Brunch

So we stayed up really really late last night watching "You've Got Mail". I'll go ahead and admit that, for a chick flick, it wasn't terrible. It was a book movie, so that's ok. We were all snuggly on the couch sipping hot chocolate, so it was a romantic evening.
As a result, we got up around 11:45 this morning. Well, I woke up and tickled her nose with a feather to get up. Its Saturday, so its ok to get up late, right? Anywho, we lazed around in bed for a while until we both decided we were hungry. So we got up and Hannah introduced me to the world's greatest pancake syrup while I made awesome omelets.
As for the rest of the day, i stayed home and made dinner early to get it out of the way. I also enjoyed watching i love lucy and doing cross word puzzles and enjoyed baking cookies. Yum!!
Dave went to work and had a wonderful hectic time, because saturdays are the busiest day. He even called me once to see how his beautiful, gorgeous wife was doing.
It was a pretty darn good day, an we hope you enjoyed your saturday as much as we did.

Who needs a blog title?

Hannah's at work, and I have the blog all to myself. Bwahahahaha.
Blogging's still fun for now. Even if nobody reads it.
Remember that prank fight we got into? Well, we both tried to start it again and failed spectacularly. I found the rubber band and wrapped it around the sprayer, thinking to get Hannah with what she got me. Fiteen minutes later I had forgotten all about it and turned on the water. Hannah got a good laugh. Twenty minutes after that, she did the exact same thing and I was able to return the favor.
We discovered that Grandmother Barber likes Scrabble. We got bored, so we took our game upstairs to see if she wanted to play. Boy, did she! Unfortunately, her eyesight isn't too hot, and she had trouble seeing the tiles. We had fun anyway. Hannah beat the tar out of grandma and I by a good fifty points.

Its Sunday. Again.

Here's how to tell if Hannah is in a good mood: She rubber-bands the sprayer next to the kitchen faucet so Dave gets wet when he tries to wash something. Then she saran-wraps the toilet. Fortunately, I saw that one in time to avoid a huge mess.
Not one let this kind of thing pass, I scotch-taped the sprayer and Hannah got a facefull. Then I flushed the toilet while she was in the shower (this works wonderfully in our little apartment), and after that I dumped a cupful of flour on her while she was still in the shower, turning her into human paper-mache. Hannah says the prank fight is over. I so won.
This past Friday was a fun, special day. I'll turn the blog over to Hannah to tell all about it.

Well, on Friday morning my wonderful, handsome, smart, witty, beautiful, loving, magnificent husband made me breakfast in bed! It consisted of an omelet with ham and green onions and cheese. There was toast and milk and blackberry jam, too! then we got ready for the day and went to the hospital that I work at and had some nurse poke Dave in the arm with a flu shot... neener neener neener. oh, and he also claims that he has a batman bandaid on his arm. After that wonderful experience, we took front runner up to salt lake, where we went to the LDSBC to get information for me to go back there in January. then we went to the gateway and went window shopping and ate off the dollar menu at McDonalds.. how romantic!! After we got back to Bountiful we went to Smiths and got a thing or two... and went to the movie store and rented a movie and went home and had a wonderful evening. And we even got to go to bed before our regular it seems like 2am.

Dave again. I don't claim to have a Batman bandaid, I have a batman bandaid. I'm looking at it now and it is awesome. Now I'm making spaghetti because its Sunday and spaghetti is the most perfect food ever which is why we have it every Sunday. The world would be a better place if we all ate more spaghetti.
