Christmas, New Years, and blessings

We have been so blessed this year! Looking back, we have done many amazing things. Both going to school, falling in love even more by the day, getting married, and sharing that wonderful eternal day with our family. Going on a criuse. moving into a new ward, which has blessed us with our first calling (nursery leaders) and we love every second of it! adjusting our schedules to fing time to be together and also learning about each other and how to live with each other, so far that has been a happy experience.
For Christmas Eve , we went out to lunch with Daves' dads' side and went to there home after to play a white elephant game. Then off to my familys' house for a party and we slept there that night.
On Christmas, we opened presents at my house with my family (we got clothes, shampoo, body wash, a couple movies, new tires for my car, a cute bag, a couple games, a body pillow, jewelry, a rice bag, and cute hair pieces). then we went to his familys' house and called daves' brother who is on a mission in Brazil. Then we drove back to my parents house, got ready for the day, ate breakfast, then we packed up and went tohis parents house again, opened presents (yay for our first camra recorder, and a movie and a gift card to applebees). Then we had to leave because i had to work, we were not happy about it at all. Dave played christmas games then ate dinner with his family, i was lucky enough to have him bring me some, and got off work an hour early. Lucky me!!
We have recieved a couple humbling blessings this Chistmas season, and would like to thank who ever it was that did them.
Well, we hope you have had a wonderful Christmas season and a happy New Year.

Thanksgiving dinners

Everything has flown by, and its almost December. It feels like only yesterday it was June 25th.. Well anyways, Thanksgiving was a blast (and the only holiday we get to see each other this season because I get to work the rest). we stayed over at Daves parents house the night before and ate the first thanksgiving dinner at 1:00 with his mothers side. Dinner was soo good, we were trying not to eat alot because we knew we had another dinner coming, and we also got to play with all his cute cousins. Then we ate the second dinner at 3:00 at my aunts house, by then we were stuffed! then Dave played video games with my cousin Carla, and i played with my cute baby cousins. Oh, and we had the most AMAZING pie in the world that Megan (another cousin) made.
Dave is SO excited that he will start his LAST semester at WSU in January. He is still working as a rock climbing instructor in Ogden, and looking for a much better job.
I am still working as a CNA at South Davis Comunity Hospital and work is kicking my trash than ever before. So thats why i applied at 10 receptionist jobs today and excited for interviewing. I'll start generals in January to become a Dental Hygienist.
We are both still very happy we found each other, and in more love than ever. We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

This past weekend

Well, as we all know, this past weekend was Halloween. It was intresting this year.. I had to work, and it was kind of nice, i did better that i thought. Their was a cute parade of little kids for about 2 hours at the hospital, and someone brought in candy for us all, that was sure nice., and to top it all off the night went pretty fast, so all was well. Dave also had to work then he went to his parents house for some fun.
I wish we hade some EXCITING NEWS (we all know what that means) like one of my friend has, (and if you dont, well.. wait 9 months..) but we dont yet. sigh.. lol
Im so very excited for Christmas! it all started a few days ago when we bought a wonderful DVD from Deseret Book and we've both watched it about 9 times. Well, by both of us i mean me. But! Dave has been listening to it and i have the music from it stuck in his head. bwahahaha, and I started christmas shopping and its a great thing that i only bought one thing, because i had to give it to him.. No more christmas shopping for me till after Thanksgiving.

ACN and Haunted Houses

We've just cleaned the house in anticipation of ACN reps coming over. ACN is this telecommunications company that Hannah is gaga over, thinking that it'll make us rich. I have my doubts, but I'm willing to take a look. We went to one of their recruiting meetings last week that was half sales pitch, half religious revival. I'm satisfied that its not a scam, because some big-name companies have partnered with ACN, Donald Trump even endorses ACN. I'm not one of The Donald's biggest fans, but I recognize that he is a phenominally sucessful businessman who wouldn't put his name on just anything. Hannah is just so excited about the whole thing and we'll just see what happens.

On the lighter side, we went with my sister Michelle and some of her friends to Nightmare on 13th. It's a haunted house in Salt Lake that has an undeserved reputation for extreme scariness. By nearly unanimous vote, I had to take point. So I was in front of Hannah and Michelle and 8 other shrieking teenagers. Imagine an 11 person conga line, with each person hiding her face in the person ahead's back and pushing the unfortunate individual (me) along at speeds directly proportional to their fear level.

Impromptu Saturday Brunch

So we stayed up really really late last night watching "You've Got Mail". I'll go ahead and admit that, for a chick flick, it wasn't terrible. It was a book movie, so that's ok. We were all snuggly on the couch sipping hot chocolate, so it was a romantic evening.
As a result, we got up around 11:45 this morning. Well, I woke up and tickled her nose with a feather to get up. Its Saturday, so its ok to get up late, right? Anywho, we lazed around in bed for a while until we both decided we were hungry. So we got up and Hannah introduced me to the world's greatest pancake syrup while I made awesome omelets.
As for the rest of the day, i stayed home and made dinner early to get it out of the way. I also enjoyed watching i love lucy and doing cross word puzzles and enjoyed baking cookies. Yum!!
Dave went to work and had a wonderful hectic time, because saturdays are the busiest day. He even called me once to see how his beautiful, gorgeous wife was doing.
It was a pretty darn good day, an we hope you enjoyed your saturday as much as we did.

Who needs a blog title?

Hannah's at work, and I have the blog all to myself. Bwahahahaha.
Blogging's still fun for now. Even if nobody reads it.
Remember that prank fight we got into? Well, we both tried to start it again and failed spectacularly. I found the rubber band and wrapped it around the sprayer, thinking to get Hannah with what she got me. Fiteen minutes later I had forgotten all about it and turned on the water. Hannah got a good laugh. Twenty minutes after that, she did the exact same thing and I was able to return the favor.
We discovered that Grandmother Barber likes Scrabble. We got bored, so we took our game upstairs to see if she wanted to play. Boy, did she! Unfortunately, her eyesight isn't too hot, and she had trouble seeing the tiles. We had fun anyway. Hannah beat the tar out of grandma and I by a good fifty points.

Its Sunday. Again.

Here's how to tell if Hannah is in a good mood: She rubber-bands the sprayer next to the kitchen faucet so Dave gets wet when he tries to wash something. Then she saran-wraps the toilet. Fortunately, I saw that one in time to avoid a huge mess.
Not one let this kind of thing pass, I scotch-taped the sprayer and Hannah got a facefull. Then I flushed the toilet while she was in the shower (this works wonderfully in our little apartment), and after that I dumped a cupful of flour on her while she was still in the shower, turning her into human paper-mache. Hannah says the prank fight is over. I so won.
This past Friday was a fun, special day. I'll turn the blog over to Hannah to tell all about it.

Well, on Friday morning my wonderful, handsome, smart, witty, beautiful, loving, magnificent husband made me breakfast in bed! It consisted of an omelet with ham and green onions and cheese. There was toast and milk and blackberry jam, too! then we got ready for the day and went to the hospital that I work at and had some nurse poke Dave in the arm with a flu shot... neener neener neener. oh, and he also claims that he has a batman bandaid on his arm. After that wonderful experience, we took front runner up to salt lake, where we went to the LDSBC to get information for me to go back there in January. then we went to the gateway and went window shopping and ate off the dollar menu at McDonalds.. how romantic!! After we got back to Bountiful we went to Smiths and got a thing or two... and went to the movie store and rented a movie and went home and had a wonderful evening. And we even got to go to bed before our regular it seems like 2am.

Dave again. I don't claim to have a Batman bandaid, I have a batman bandaid. I'm looking at it now and it is awesome. Now I'm making spaghetti because its Sunday and spaghetti is the most perfect food ever which is why we have it every Sunday. The world would be a better place if we all ate more spaghetti.

Its Sunday

So, its Sunday. Day way-too-many of not having any hot water. The water heater's been acting up by going out, and I can't keep the darn thing lit. Grandpa Cook gave me the name and number of an individual that takes care of all he heating and A/C stuff in the building, so he's going to get a call tomorrow. I can't wait until we can stop heating water on the stove to do dishes and taking cold showers.
Wow, isn't that just the most riveting blog entry you've ever read? I know I got goosebumps when I wrote it.
Despite this and other challenges, Hannah and I are still very much in love. Its tough sometimes, not seeing each other all day on those days where I go to school and we both work, but we enjoy and savor the time we do have. We're looking forward to the day when I'll be out of school and working full-time so we can have something of a normal routine. We're also looking forward to the birth of our first child. As soon as Hannah gets pregnant, we'll let you know when that'll be.

The day we met..

It wasnt exactly love at first sight, it was a love that grew into a beautiful garden that started with seeds of "hello" and "what is your name".
We met on a beautiful, summer day at an ice cream shop, with different dates at the time. His date had been wanting to set us up for a while now, and it was the perfect oppertunity! At first he seemed a little shy until his date cracked a joke, then it hit off from their. We couldnt stop talking, it was the start of two best friends for eternity!
