work.

I just have I say that I LOVE my job. It is so awesome! Everyone is so friendly and happy to be there working all day. The management is so friendly and kind. It's the total opposite of my last job (I was so worried about that). I'm technically going to be a Phlebotomist but I will also work in the front, taking peoples vitals and helping with the computers and debit cards and work in the back taking test from samples of the doners plasma as well. All of that will take about 6 to 9 months of training. I'm not to thrilled about that part. I'm also not too thrilled about waking up at 3:15 in the morning to get ready for work. When we move back to Layton in about 4ish months I can hopefully cut that time in half. Dave is still working as a PI. He doesn't love it, but he's grateful for it. We will be earning and saving a ton more money now, so we will be able to put him through post training if that's what he still wants to pursue.

New Job

So Dave was gone for all of last week and he came home to a surprise. A happy wife with a new job! It's only taken a year of being like this chick. Yes, I totally looked like her. Can you see the resemblance?
One night after having enough of this and feeling like I'm not worth anything earlier that day, I felt that I needed to get on job search site. I did and found this cool sounding job and applied. 2 days later I got a call for an interview. The day of my interview my brain looked like this inside.
The interview went REALLY well because it turned into a job shadow for the next hour which then turned into another interview which turned into a job offer. I was like...
Yup, So excited I switched genders. So now I'm waiting for the first day where I'm sure it will be like..
And this is what I'll be doing.
I'll be a Plasma Center Technician at Biolife Plasma Center. Yay me!!!

Pictures

Everyone loves pictures. At least I do. Especially ones that show the insides of peoples houses so I can see how they decorate and to get some ideas. That sounds creepy, but I swear it's not. Our family room
Kitchen
Laundry closet
Bathroom
Bedroom
Things about our apartment I love... The vents are on the ceiling.
Were the lucky ones to break in the new flooring and carpet.
We live 5 blocks from the new Brigham City Temple.
Last but not least... we're closer to our "religious" Friday date night at Improv

we moved.

Suprise! We moved to Brigham City about a month ago. It's so funny how you can fall in love with such a cute old small town. We live about 5 blocks from the new temple. Our ward is AWESOME! Everyone is so friendly and happy. I was worried about not having a mall or a not a whole lot of stores around, but honestly I haven't missed it. Dave has been home for about 1/4th of the time since our move. He's been busy with traveling. So its been all up to me with the whole moving thing and not to brag, but I did one hell of a job. My only complaint is I busted my left knee. It still hurts, but its a small price to pay not having anyone help move (Accept on moving day. Thanks moms and dads, you're the best) so here's what you all have been waiting for... our new pad! Its a tiny bit under 900 sq ft. We got new carpet and flooring and of course fresh paint. There was no hole limit, so my friend chelsee and I decked out the place in under an hour, believe it or not. The picture of the mountains is our living room view.

Namaste

Lately I have picked up a new hobby. Yoga. I am getting super flexible and I feel so much happier and carry good vibes and it's just fantastic! Last time I went in for a zone, my friend recommended it to me. I thought it was lame and totally not a workout. PSH! Oh was I wrong. In fact, already 7 lbs lost wrong. It has me sweating the first 3 minutes. Sometimes in the morning, I will yoga outside with the sunrise, and in the evening with the sun setting. It it so beautiful!!!It's such a relaxing workout, so I do it like twice or even 3 times a day. (Just because I want to keep wearing my cool yoga outfits and I don't want to change back into hot clothes, blah!)And the thing that compliments a nice workout (or at anytime)is a cool cup of green tea!

Daily Routine

Lately I've been getting so many compliments on my face and make-up. So I thought I'd share my "secrets" with you. Every morning and night I wash my face with a warm wash cloth and a pump of Cetaphil. It's a little expensive, but it lasts a long time and works the best that I've seen.
At night I will massage my face with Olay Regenerist micro-sculpting cream. I feel like my face can still breathe with moisturizer on at night. And I love that it can help prevent some wrinkles in the long run.
Next, I use a Face Primer by Sephora. This stuff just evens out your face if its red or splotchy. And it closes your pours so you can't see blackheads and your face looks clear and beautiful!
After that, I use Bare Minerals for make-up.
For my skin tone, I use medium foundation, warmth bronzer to make my skin look sunkissed and fresh, whatever blush and eye shadow I feel matches my mood of the day, eye liner just on my upper eyelid (were going for beautiful here, no raccoon business)and mascara, then a veil to keep the powders locked and stay looking fresh the rest of the day, and of course lip gloss with a tint. I LOVE the lip glosses from Bath and Body Works.
And that's what I do! I hope that has helped you with your routine.
06.25.12 was our 3rd anniversary. It was sooo fantastic!
The day before we adopted a dog.
His name is Pippin and he is 1 year old. He is 1/2 Shih-tzu and 1/2 Schnauzer and 100% ADORABLE!!! He is sooo good! No accidents in the house, he is the easiest dog to train, and he listens! I have to tell him no only once and he doesn't do it again and he has such a funny attitude. We love him already!!
The day of our anniversary Dave had to work, so we partied hard after he got off. We went to the Melting Pot in SLC and had an AMAZING dinner. We have never been there and I've always wanted to go. needless to say, it was a life changing experience. not really, but whatever. We had fun. Then we booked it to the movie theater to see Brave. It was such a cute show! I would totally go see it again. I was doing sooo good with pictures until now.. I'm at my parents house and don't have the rest of them. I guess you can use your imagination. :)

John Bender Fist Pump

I know I've been so bad at posting. Thats because I've been gone and I was being lazy. SO! The past few weeks... The job search is taking longer than expected. I seem to be in a catch 22. They want people with experience. I have 5 weeks experience chairside and 3 years in the health field but I guess its not the exact kind they're looking for. So while thats been going on, Dave went to Texas for 2 weeks. That was a total shocker. We had NO clue he didn't need to be licenced to work there. He loved the area. So maybe someday we'll move there for a while. We both dont like it when he travels. it seemed like forever when we get to see each other. BOO! Which brings up a new subject. We might be MOVING to Arizona! The Phoenix/Mesa area to be exact. Cases havent been coming in in this area for Dave's career, so we might relocate. Were both kind of excited and hoping we do. I have family down there so we wouldn't feel totally stranded. We will know for sure Monday and from there we will make our decision. If we decide not to, Dave will keep looking for other security jobs in the area so we don't have to move. We have also been to Bear Lake this summer. The water is still soooooooo cold! But it was a super fun weekend. We went shooting for my first time. I did so good! I got 10/12 shots. Daves dad was sure impressed (John Bender fist pump). We also went on boat rides, water ski rides, and were lazy beach bums. It was all so much fun! We were even able to spend quality time with Daves parents. Which dosnt happen often enough. When were home on Friday nights we always go to Mission: Improvable. It is SO much fun. We die laughing every time, and it goes by way too fast. You definatly get your $5's worth. If you ever want to go, let me know and we can carpool or something. Peace out!

Sandman skips my house.

Ever since I was a little girl its been so hard for me to fall asleep. Every night I have a battle with my brain to shut off for the night. My mom would actually give me some of her problems and I'd solve them for her. Lately its been really bad. I mean I'm up till 2 or 3. I think about countless things. Like; what chores I need to do, what places I need to call the next day for interviews, places I need to go, ladies I need to visit teach and if I'm in charge of the lesson, what treat to make my ladies. Also if im being everything Dave needs me to be. What debt we have left, how soon can we pay that off. Why am I having pain in these areas and whats causing them. Did I work out enough tonight. What recipes should I use with this weeks produce from Bountiful Baskets. Will I have 14 nursery kids all to myself again on sunday? Thats seriously too many. Are my friends happy, if not what can I do to help them. Wondering if we should save up money to buy a house, or do the whole adoption or fertility thing next. And the list goes on and on. On top of that, my phone is being retarded. Im so greatful dave called in me a brand new phone (at no cost to us) and hopefully ill get it by tuesday. But you know how that can go. Anyways! I wish you all better sleep than im getting. If you have any tricks or tips please leave a comment!

Lately at the Cooks

Since Dave has been working a lot the past few weeks, and I was finishing up school, we havent really been outgoing with the whole social thing. But it was worth it in the end! Look what all that hard work did.
I even got a new wedding ring. I was so sick and tired of just wearing my wedding band and not the whole thing (since it sits way too high, it rips the gloves every time) that I decided it was time for a new one. The first day working with it was wonderful! the glove slided right on.
I will have to post more pictures later from graduation.

Pictures!

Here are some pictures I promissed a while ago.
The first picture is to show you the dummy we practiced our first coronal polishes on.

Here is picture of another dummy getting his bitewing x-rays done.

The next picture is of my best friend Chelsee practicing her coronal polish skills on me.
At first I was nervous, but she did very, very well!

And the last picture is something I want for my birthday next month. (hint, hint) Its a radio with a cd player and an ipod dock. I already have a cheap one, but I always have to carry it back and forth from the kitchen to our bedroom every day. So it would be much easier to have one in the kitchen and one in our room. And the best part of all would be having a cd player again! Because you can only do so much using your dvd player as a cd player.

General Conference & School

Last weekend was general conference for the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Aka, the LDS faith. It was sooo good to hear from some of the officers of the church and the prophet, President Monson. I loved the talks on family. I also loved President Uchtdorf and Elder Hollands talk.
Since hansom had to work that weekend in WY, I went to my parents home to feel the spirit and be lazy. (that combination is fantastic!!!!) I was bummed when he got that case last minute, because we had plans to go to Bear Lake. Oh well, that for sure means well have to sneak out one weekend and hit up the beach with the fam in the summer.
Speaking of Wyoming. Dave says there are really weird people that live there. On 2 different occasions, someone tried opening his van. Good thing he keeps then locked at all times. I would hate to imagine what could have happened.
School this week was a riot! They are building onto the school, so we had class in Dr. Wibles waiting room. While the teacher was showing us useful ways to find a job, the dentist gave us sticker mustaches and made us put them on and take a class pic. He also read us a story about how important it is to brush and floss your teeth twice a day.
Clinicals were fun, I assisted Dr. Wible on a root canal and 7 sealents all by myself, without the assistant telling me what to do next. Im so proud! One time I gave him a shower too. I guess I squirted the air/water syringe at the most perfect angle on his mirror it got hom in the face. Luckily he was wearing a mask and glasses so he didnt get too drenched. No worries, he got me back. Haha.. Im so sad school is almost over. Its been so much fun. The only bad thing (and it really isnt that big if an issue) is that our extra mulah we would have put in the bank for ourselves goes towards school. So weve been playing poor for the past month and a half. I cant wait to go to school for Dental Hygiene once I get a year or 2 of Dental Assisting under my belt. Most likely at UVU since Weber has a long waiting list. Its too bad we'll have to move, but to tell you the truth ive always wanted to live down that way. Lets just say were enjoying our journey and were looking forward to the future!!

Pet Peeves

Being on these insane meds, I have found that lots of little things that people or I do bother me to no end. Like having to listen to people chew. Or when people are late I just want to scream. Or when I ask a question and dont get a serious direct answer. Eew. It just bugs me.
On another note, school is so much fun. I would recomend them to anyone. Today we had a water fight with the air/water syringe. Its just a blast, and im doing so well. I guess I found my "thing". Also, I need your help. I need to polish teeth and take xrays and practice sealents. So if you need any of that done, or want to help suport me, I would greatly appreciate it. Did I mention that its free? Just leave me a coment and ill call ya. Thanks!!!!!

Bazinga!

The past two weeks has been such a blur. All I really remember is studying, since thats my new life for the next ten weeks. Other than that, nothing has changed here. Dave has been working more out of town. So my friend Chelsee comes to stay more frequently. Which is awesome since were going to school together. Its been kind of a struggle getting used to school again. I dont have as much time anymore to be doing other things like baking, cleaning, talking, sleeping in, etc. Last week I studied over 65 hours. Looking back, I think I over did it, because I really have to push myself to do any studying this week. I love going to Intermountain Dental Assisting, but they give you A LOT of reading material and stuff to memorize and here's the best part, the syllabus tells you whats on the test, so that's my main concern.
On another note, we are FINALLY giving our bedroom a makeover this week. Its been bothering me since we have moved in last June. Dont get me wrong, I'm grateful we have a home to live in, but white walls and I dont get along ;). Pictures to come.
About the random word up top... yeah, its just random. Coming up with a title is the hardest part of the whole "blogging" thing.

Im weird.

I am so weird. I was thinking about all the funny things I do and say. Like texting random friends "Longer you wait, better the jello". Or singing terribly in the car on purpous to drive my friends or Dave insane. Or blasting disco music while brushing my hair into a huge afro and dancing around wildly before getting in the shower. And mixing foods together that dont match. Like pickles, chocolate and pretzles over ive cream. Or singing every action im doing in the day... I just noticed I sing a lot.
Also, some of my fears are weird. Like, how I can't stand the feeling or smell of cheese. I have never bought a block of cheese because I dont want to touch it. Eww!! And Im afraid of taking a bath because whales or sharks can swim up through the drain. Nevermind the size. Im also terrified going anywhere by myself. And I have a fear of going somewhere where I might know somebody because then Im put on the spot and my mind goes blank. Im also terrified of taking out the trash or getting the mail in the middle of the day because people will see me and I might have to talk to them. Im also afraid of walking around in my house at night because ghosts can appear. Plus at night strange people I can't see peak through the windows to watch my every move. Does anyone else have weird fears, or is it just me?

Ever Learning.

This week has been very rough on clomid. I hit the peak of drama, melt downs and frustration from about 2.5 weeks to 3.5 weeks into the cycle. Not. Fun. But husband is always so sweet and comforting when the meds are at their finest. I have figured out for myself that reading the Book of Mormon every day and asking help from the Lord and going to church and the temple weekly help me so much. Already I have learned that everyone has different trials and just because some people don't show it, doesn't mean they don't have any. And they are placed upon us to make us stronger and closer to our Heavenly Father and our families. And if we weather through them well, our reward will be greater.

This Weeks Adventures

This week has already been eventful, and its only half way over. I never get to see my grand parents, so when I do, its a real treat. Sunday night we went to my grandparents house in Pocatello, Id. I told them id make the food since its hard for them to get around. Which they loved. I made sure to make leftovers so they can enjoy my food when were gone. My grandma esecially loved the "chicken goop". In fact, she thought it was so good, she just finished the sauce by its self. Eww!!!.. Im just glad she liked it. Our 3 day visit was full of scrabble, playing my violin with my grandpa for hours, a very difficult puzzle my grandma and I have yet to finish, eating ice cream and talking, hearing war stories, old lady water aerobics, walks with grandpa and the dog, card games and out to a movie. Id say for 2 old people who think they are pretty boring, they are sooo entertaining.
Dave actually has another case next week up there, so we will be able to visit again. Yay!!!

Relax!

Today seemed to be the most perfect day Dave and I have had in a while. We did a whole lotta nothing. It started with cuddling in bed the first half of the day, followed by a unhealthy lunch of pop corn, followed by a marathon of TBBT and more cuddling (a weeks worth to be exact). It was a great ending to one of those terrible, dramatic, 4 boxes of tissue, nobody around supporting you, loose 8 lbs from not eating kinda week.

New Years Resolutions

Its a new year and a new me. So here it is... My new year resolution list. I do believe I've done a very good job so far. 1) Become a Dental Assistant. 2) Learn to be happy and live it. (this will be a hard one because I also have to battle the side effects. But no worries, im doing better. Until today when I realized im on so many meds to help us have a baby. Like clomid, estradiol, provera, metformin, and prenatals). 3) Get fit! (this one is coming along nicely, I am going to the gym 4x a week with a lovely ward friend and im on weight watchers). 4) Attend the temple 1x a week. 5) Attend church every sunday. (Dave and I have slacked off a bit on this one. Especially since it was at 9 and we never have morning snuggle time). 6) Pay off some debt. Yup, the debt monster bit us in the butt and we're paying for it. I hope we can all stick to our resolutions this year, especially if they can help you be a better person. Xoxo Hannah
